Two Armed Suspects Invade Edgewood Home: Sheriff

One suspect has been charged, and detectives are trying to track down the second person allegedly involved.

EDGEWOOD, MD --Ā A Middle River man has been charged in connection with a home invasion this week in Edgewood where prescription pills were among the items stolen, according to the Harford County Sheriff’s Office.

At 11:59 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 29, deputies responded to the 600 block of Holly Drive, where two suspects armed with handguns had confronted the homeowner and demanded prescription pills, money and jewelry, the sheriff’s office reported.

With assistance from the Baltimore County Police Department, Harford detectives investigated and identified one suspect, the report said.

Deveran Fowlkes, 23, of the unit block of Starwood Court, faces seven charges: home invasion; armed robbery; robbery; first-degree burglary; first-degree assault; theft less than $1,000; and using a firearm to commit a felony.

Officials said they took Fowlkes into custody at 9:15 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 29, in Baltimore County.
