Two Hospitalized From Route 1 Crash: Officials
Emergency crews from Bel Air and Fallston worked together to free one of the drivers Thursday from this crash on Route 1.
HARFORD COUNTY, MD — Two people were hospitalized after a crash Thursday morning on US 1, officials said. The collision occurred around 7:30 a.m. in the area of Connolly Road.
One driver was trapped and had to be rescued from the crash, according to Rich Gardiner of the Bel Air Volunteer Fire Company. Crews from the Bel Air and the Fallston Volunteer Fire and Ambulance Company freed the driver, Gardiner said.
Two people were taken to area hospitals, according to Gardiner; both had injuries that were not believed to be life-threatening. He said one person went to a regional trauma center, while the other was taken to a local hospital.

Maryland State Police was investigating the crash.
