ULTA to Open in Tollgate Marketplace

The beauty chain enters Bel Air shopping center after building gets a face lift.

Bel Air shoppers will soon have access to ULTA, a large beauty retailer.

ULTA plans to open at Tollgate Marketplace this fall, according to an announcement from Retail Properties of America, which owns the shopping center.

The beauty store will move into an 11,000-square-foot space near T.J. Maxx at the center off US 1 at MD 24.

The announcement comes as Tollgate Marketplace updates its exterior to improve visibility, making changes like removing metal roofing and cement pillars, expanding sidewalks, installing new awnings and adding fresh paint and new signage. The updates are expected to be complete by the end of July.

“The façade upgrades will make this strong center even more successful by modernizing the look and feel of a popular shopping destination, improving the overall customer experience,” said Greg Goldberg, vice president and leasing director for Retail Properties of America’s north region. “The signing of Ulta Beauty speaks to the strength of [Tollgate Marketplace], and we are very pleased to welcome them to our center.”
