The Upper Chesapeake Health Foundation Appoints Chuck Boyle to Board

Boyle, a Harford County native, is an active member of the community.

The Upper Chesapeake Health Foundation has appointed Chuck Boyle, president/owner/dealer principal of Boyle Buick GMC, to its board of directors.

The Upper Chesapeake Health Foundation supports the mission of University of Maryland Upper Chesapeake Health by developing relationships with local citizens and organizations who wish to take part in the expansion and improvement of healthcare services provided in Harford County.

“The Upper Chesapeake Health Foundation is fortunate to have Chuck Boyle join our board,” said Lyle E. Sheldon, president and CEO of UM Upper Chesapeake Health. “The foundation is all about community, and Chuck’s involvement in so many facets of our community will be an asset to us.”

Boyle has worked at Boyle Buick GMC, founded by his father, Clarence, in 1968, most of his adult life. Boyle Buick GMC has received numerous awards over the years including GM’s prestigious 2012 Dealer of the Year, representing the top 2 percent of Buick dealers in the country; Best in Class Award for customer satisfaction and dealership business practices 11 times in 13 years; recognition as the top seller of new Buicks in Maryland since 1997; and is the only GM dealership in Maryland with six “World Class”-designated service technicians.

An active member of his community, Boyle has served as chair or president of numerous organizations including Harford County Chamber of Commerce, Maryland Automobile Dealers Association, Maryland Golf & Country Clubs, Baltimore Buick Dealers Ad Association, Harford Community College Foundation, Buick Atlantic Zone Dealer Council and Harford County Citizens Advisory Council on Career and Technical Education.

Boyle has received several awards including the Good Scout Award from the Boy Scouts of America, Time Magazine Quality Dealer of the Year for Maryland, the Rotary Paul Harris Fellowship and the Harford Community College Distinguished Alumni Award.

A native of Harford County, Boyle graduated from The John Carroll School, Harford Community College and the General Motors University of Automotive Management. He also served with the Maryland Air National Guard.
