Vehicle Hits Building In Joppa: Officials

A truck drove into a building off Philadelphia Road Sunday morning in Joppa, fire officials reported.

JOPPA, MD — A truck hit a building in Joppa Sunday morning, officials said. The driver was uninjured, according to the Joppa-Magnolia Volunteer Fire Company.

Crews from Joppa-Magnolia said they were called at 8:25 a.m. to Philadelphia Road/MD 7 at Old Mountain Road South. Nobody other than the driver was in the vehicle, officials said.

While the driver was fine, a building inspector was summoned to evaluate whether the building was structurally sound.
