Vehicle into Pole Shuts Down Road in Jarrettsville: Officials

Part of a road in Jarrettsville may be closed through the Monday evening rush hour due to a crash, according to the State Highway Administration.

A vehicle took down a telephone pole on Norrisville Road/MD 23 at Schuster Road Monday afternoon, State Highway Administration spokesman Charlie Gischlar said.

One person was taken for treatment by medevac after the vehicle hit the pole at approximately 2:30 p.m., according to the Jarrettsville Volunteer Fire Company.

Norrisville Road/MD 23 may be closed west of MD 165 for a few hours, Gischlar said at approximately 4:20 p.m.
