Vehicle Reversed Over Driver in Aberdeen: Police

The victim was in serious condition at shock trauma, Aberdeen Police reported.

A man accidentally put his vehicle in reverse and was run over by his car, the Aberdeen Police Department reported.

The 72-year-old involved in the incident was in serious condition at the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center, police reported Sunday.

According to the report, the man was partly inside his vehicle in the 100 block of West Aztec Street when at 3:45 p.m. on Saturday he put the vehicle in reverse by accident and was run over by his own car.

Aberdeen Fire officials took him to Harford Memorial Hospital with life-threatening injuries, and he was then airlifted to shock trauma, where police said Sunday he remained in serious condition.
