Velvet Trunk Opens in Downtown Bel Air

BEL AIR, MD — There is a new store for fashionistas in Bel Air.

Velvet Trunk opened on Office Street in recent weeks.

Owner Marissa Drayton-Smalley previously ran a pop-up shop and opened the doors to her store in the past month. Tucked on a quiet street across from the courthouse, Velvet Trunk is filled with unique prints and items influenced by Drayton-Smalley's travels everywhere from Europe to New Mexico.

The native New Yorker describes her store as "contemporary bohemian style."

Velvet Trunk is located at 6 Office Street. It's open Tuesday to Saturday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.; and Sunday, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Check out Velvet Trunk on Facebook.
