The Harford County Sheriff’s Office is seeking information about suspects in connection with a theft-credit card misuse case. Authorities say that a man stole from someone’s purse in Bel Air, then a woman tried to use the stolen credit cards at Abingdon businesses.
The theft was captured on surveillance footage inside a coffee shop in the Festival at Bel Air, according to the Harford County Sheriff’s Office.

In the video, a man positioned his chair directly behind the chair where the victim’s purse was slung.

Without the victim noticing, he casually reached into the purse and took what was inside, the sheriff’s office reported.
Hours later, a woman tried to use the credit cards in Abingdon at several businesses, the report said.
The crimes occurred on Thursday, Aug. 20, according to the report. The man went into the coffee shop at approximately 2 p.m. and the woman tried to use the credit cards that afternoon, the report said.
