​Virginia Lynn Walker, 58, Of Bel Air

Virginia Lynn Walker, 58, of Bel Air, passed away on June 19, 2018, at her home. Born in Baltimore, she was the daughter of Robert David and Dolores Christine (Hentschel) Wilson.

She worked for the Harford County Department of Transit for the past year. Prior to that position, she also worked in the Governor's Office for Children Youth & Families and Harford County Economic Development.

She enjoyed researching genealogy, gardening, crafts, water color painting, crocheting, creating jewelry and beading. She liked "day tripping" to the beach or shopping, researching and discovering libraries. She had volunteered at Stella Maris, was a member of St. Margaret's Catholic Church, and was active in local politics and campaigns.

Mrs. Walker is survived by her husband of 26 years, Mark Robert Walker; daughter, Elise (Michael Lepore) R. Rosen of Farmington, CT; son, Victor G. Walker of Providence, RI; brother, Robert Wilson, III of Parkville; and sister, Patricia Gombes of La Jolla, CA. Visitation was Sunday, June 24. A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, June 25, at McComas Funeral Home (Bel Air)50 W. Broadway Bel Air, MD 21014.
