Waterfront Festival Sept. 9-10 Features Lighted Boat Parade, Fireworks, Concerts, Food

HARFORD COUNTY, MD — Enjoy a weekend of food, fun, fireworks and festivities at the Waterfront Festival in Concord Point Park Friday from 5 to 11 p.m. and Saturday from 1 to 7 p.m.

The celebration in Havre de Grace revolves around the Susquehanna River. On Friday night there will be a lighted boat parade starting at 8 p.m. and fireworks on Saturday night.

Friday's activities include a beer garden, food trucks, assorted vendors and a performance by the Steel Drum Band. Saturday's fun includes steamed crabs, seafood, live bands, food trucks, beer garden, entertainers, artisans, games, contests, exhibits, crafts, a kid zone, bounce houses, land and water demonstrations, a youth fishing derby, Splash Golf, hands-on learning opportunities, a "Chalk the Walk" competition among local artists, face painting, "Nothin' Up My Sleeve" Magic Show, merchandise and craft vendors, and more.

There also will be special appearances by kids' favorite characters include Ariel, Mirabel & Bruno, Captain Hook and Tinkerbell, and Coral the live mermaid. Three bands will perform Saturday: No Boundaries, The Hushdown and The Klassix.
