Wawa Named Top U.S. Convenience Store In New Study; See MD Locations
The convenience store also took first place for customer satisfaction in the Northeast and second in the South.

MARYLAND — A new study has crowned Wawa as the nation's leading convenience store chain. The American Customer Satisfaction Index this week released its first-ever Convenience Store Study 2024.
Results of the study were gleaned from 5,710 randomly selected customers who were surveyed between March and September 2024. The study ended with Wawa earning an industry-leading score of 82 out of 100.

Wawa took first place for customer satisfaction in the Northeast and second in the South. Sheetz took second in the Northeast.
Wawa has several locations in Maryland including stores in Annapolis, Baltimore, Beltsville, Capitol Heights, College Park, District Heights, Dundalk, Dunkirk, Edgewater, Essex, Gambrills, Hanover, Hyattsville, Glen Burnie, Lanham, Laurel, Millersville, Rosedale, Suitland and Upper Marlboro.

According to the study, Wawa's hoagies are a big draw for customers.
While convenience stores overall trail the fast food industry by 2 points in the quality of cooked food, Wawa outperformed food fast chains in its quality of cooked foods, per the study.
