BREAKING: Harford County Public Schools officials have announced plans for Friday, Jan. 5.

HARFORD COUNTY, MD -- Schools in Harford County will open late on Friday, Jan. 5. Harford County Public Schools made the decision on Thursday afternoon about the Friday morning delay.
Harford County Public Schools will open two hours late, and morning prekindergarten will be canceled on Friday, Jan. 5.
The announcement comes after school was canceled on Thursday, Jan. 4, due to inclement weather.

While snowfall has ended, the cold temperatures have not. On Friday, people should bundle up.
The National Weather Service has issued a wind chill advisory that includes Harford County. Temperatures will feel like 0 degrees to 15 below zero.

During the advisory period, people should be sure to wear a hat and gloves, since frostbite can occur within 30 minutes if skin is exposed. The wind chill advisory is in effect from 10 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 4, to noon on Friday, Jan. 5.
