Harford County Westbound US 40 Construction Project Prompts Lane Closures, Detours
Westbound US 40 in Harford County will undergo construction starting Friday with lane closures and detours.
HARFORD COUNTY, MD — Westbound US 40 (Pulaski Highway) near the Joppa Farm Road intersection will have its concrete pavement repaired starting Friday. Work should be completed by April 21.
Work for the project likely will cause heavy traffic congestion in the area. Drivers should expect weeklong double-lane closures and traffic shifts on westbound US 40 while the project is happening, according to the State Highway Administration.
Drivers are encouraged to use MD 7 (Philadelphia Road) or I-95 between MD 152 (Mountain Road) and MD 43 (White Marsh Boulevard) as an alternative during the work period.
