What's Open, Closed in Bel Air for MLK Day?

BEL AIR, MD – Martin Luther King Jr. Day is Monday, Jan. 18, and it’s a holiday for the Bel Air and Harford County governments.

Trash: Curbside collections through Harford County will take place as usual. For residents whose trash is picked up through the town of Bel Air, trash will be collected Wednesday with no bulk pickup this week.

Schools: Harford County Public Schools and offices are closed on Monday.

Libraries: All Harford County Public Library branches are closed Monday.

Bel Air Town Hall: Closed.

Harford County government: Closed.

Harford Community College: Closed.

Martin Luther King Day is a federal holiday held on the third Monday of January. It celebrates the life and achievements of civil rights leader Martin Luther King Jr. State and federal offices will be closed in observance of the holiday, while retail stores and most other businesses will be open.
