What's Open, Closed In Harford County For Labor Day 2019
Government offices are closed Monday, Sept. 2, for the Labor Day holiday. See what else is not going to be open in Harford County.
HARFORD COUNTY, MD — As a day set aside to honor workers, all Harford County government offices will be closed Monday, Sept. 2, for the Labor Day holiday. All branches of the Harford County Public Library will be closed Monday, as well.
The Harford Waste Disposal Center and Administrative Office will be closed on Monday.
All Town of Bel Air offices will be closed on Sept. 2. Regular household trash pick-up will move from Monday to Wednesday. Residents who normally have their trash collected on Tuesdays will not have a change in service.

Because of the modified holiday trash collection schedule, there will be no bulk collection on Wednesday, Sept. 4. In addition, there will be no loose leaf or yard waste collection on Monday, Sept. 2.

Mall: Harford Mall will be open normal hours, 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., on Sept. 2.
Schools: Harford County Public Schools begin classes for students in kindergarten through 12th grade on Tuesday, Sept. 3.

The Motor Vehicle Administration will close all branch offices and VEIP stations Sept. 2 in observance of Labor Day. Online services, 24-hour kiosks and self-service VEIP kiosks will be accessible to customers during the holiday closure.
Banks: Major banks across the country — Bank of America, Chase Bank and Wells Fargo — will be closed Monday, but customers should check their branch to make sure.
Postal Service: The U.S. Postal Service observes Labor Day as a holiday, so post offices will be closed and mail will not be delivered.
