What's Open, Closed In Harford County Martin Luther King Jr. Day 2023

HARFORD COUNTY, MD — On Monday, residents and organizations in Harford County will take a moment to honor the life and legacy of civil rights icon Martin Luther King Jr. The federally-observed day of service will impact services in the area.

Local and county government offices will be closed Monday. State offices and the court system also will be closed Jan. 16.

The Harford County Public Library and all branches will be closed Monday.

In Aberdeen, all trash and recycling will be picked on the regular schedule for all zones. In Bel Air, regular household trash removal for town residents who normally have a Monday collection day will have their trash picked up Wednesday. There won't be any bulk collection on Wednesday and no loose leaf or yard waste collection Monday.

The MARC train will operate on the R schedule on all three lines. The commuter bus will not operate except for Route 201, which will run on a weekend holiday schedule.
