HARFORD COUNTY, MD — Girl Scout cookie sales have started and fans of the sweet treats can find stands across the county now through March 13.

Every year, Girl Scouts sell boxes of cookies to support their troops' community service and activities like camping and travel. Through the sales, Girl Scouts also learn skills like money management, goal setting and business ethics. In 2022, Girl Scouts of the Nation’s Capital sold 4.1 million boxes of Girl Scout cookies.

"We are thrilled Girl Scouts are able to fund their dreams, thanks to the Girl Scout Cookie program," said Lidia Soto-Harmon, CEO of Girl Scouts of the Nation’s Capital. "We are grateful for all the support each Girl Scout receives from the community."
