Obituary and service information from McComas Funeral Home.

William "Bill" Schwartzman, 42, of Edgewood, passed away on May 31, 2017, at his home. Born in Baltimore, he was the son of Henry Richard and Frances Margaret (Page) Schwartzman of Edgewood.

He was very active at the John Archer School, especially in the chorus, band and acting in plays. He enjoyed playing his French horn and reading. He loved sports, especially the Ravens and the Orioles, road maps and the atlas.

He was recognized as Harford County's Most Beautiful People two different times for his volunteer work at the Harford Community College Library, where he worked for over 22 years. On May 17, the library held a William Schwartzman Appreciation Day where he received an award. He loved to go on vacation all over, helping his parents navigate the roads. He also loved going to dances and to dance with his best friend, Dawn Weikle. He made All County Band the year he graduated and performed in Havre de Grace. He loved dogs and had shelties; his last sheltie was named Angel. He enjoyed this time of year because Prince of Peace held its fiesta, where he really enjoyed playing bingo.
