Winners of Bel Air's 2016 Christmas Parade Announced

The C. Milton Wright High School Marching Mustang Band moved up a few spots this year. Congratulations to all participants!

BEL AIR, MD — The Bel Air Downtown Alliance, which organizes the town's annual Christmas parade, has announced the winners of the 2016 event.

And the winners are...

  • 1st Place: Girl Scouts of Central Maryland, Service Unit 674
  • 2nd Place: C. Milton Wright High School Marching Mustang Band
  • 3rd Place: Michael Rosman’s Summer Circus Camp
  • 1st Honorable Mention (tie): TwirlTasTix and Hoppin’ Hawks
  • 2nd Honorable Mention: Harford NORTH STARS Ice Hockey Team

The alliance also noted last year's results, in which the Girl Scouts stole the show as well. Noteworthy is that the C. Milton Wright marching band jumped from honorable mention in 2015 to second place in 2016.

Here were the 2015 winners, according to the Bel Air Downtown Alliance:

  • 1st Place: Girl Scouts of Central MD Service Unit 674 for its depiction of "Whoville"
  • 2nd Place: Cub Scouts Pack 807: “Sweetest Gifts”
  • 3rd Place: Girl Scout Troop 5296: “Peanuts Float”
  • 1st Honorable Mention: C. Milton Wright High School Marching Band
  • 2nd Honorable Mention: Twirltastix & Relevé Dance
  • 3rd Honorable Mention: Cub Scout Pack 830: “Racing to the North Pole”
