Winter Weather Advisory Issued For Harford County
Below-freezing temperatures and snow-covered roads could combine for dangerous traveling conditions, weather officials say.

BALTIMORE, MD — Be prepared for challenging travel conditions, Harford County. Snow-covered roads and limited visibility are expected.
The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory from 2 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Dec. 30.
The advisory includes Harford, Baltimore and Carroll counties, which will likely receive 1 to 2 inches of snow, according to the advisory.

Drivers should expect roads to be slippery, weather officials advised. They are encouraged to be cautious, as visibility may be less than a mile at times.
Those who must travel may want to prepare an emergency kit. The weather service said that wind chills below freezing could cause frostbite and hypothermia this weekend.

Here are some cold-weather safety tips that the Harford County Department of Emergency Services has recommended in the past:
- Have blankets in vehicles.
- Charge cell phones.
- Keep a first aid kit in the home and car, including a working flashlight with batteries.
