Winter Weather Advisory Issued For Part Of Harford County
Areas of northeastern Maryland, particularly near the Mason-Dixon Line, could see ice accumulating.
HARFORD COUNTY, MD — The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory for part of Harford County due to freezing rain. Up to 0.1 inch ice may accumulate, with the highest amounts near the Maryland-Pennsylvania state line, according to the advisory.
Ice may accumulate on elevated surfaces; some roads, overpasses and sidewalks may turn slippery Monday night, officials said.
The winter weather advisory is effective Monday, Dec. 16. Officials issued the advisory around 4:30 p.m., and it remains in effect until midnight.

These areas are under the winter weather advisory:
- Northwest Harford County
- Northern Baltimore County
- Carroll County
- Frederick County

Areas of dense fog are also possible, and a dense fog advisory may be necessary, officials said.

Drivers should slow down. Pedestrians should watch their steps on stairs, driveways and sidewalks, which could be icy. According to the advisory, power outages are possible.
