Woman Attacks Hotel Employee With Power Tool In Elevator

A Chevy Chase woman pulled a circular saw out of her bag and cut a hotel employee's while they were in an elevator, police say.

ABERDEEN, MD — A woman used a circular saw to cut a hotel employee's neck while they were riding in an elevator together.

The incident happened Saturday around 12:30 p.m. at a hotel in the 900 block of Hospitality Way. Police say that Anada Pollard, 24, from Chevy Chase was in a hotel elevator with a 43-year-old employee when Pollard pulled a circular saw from a bag, exposed the blade and put it up against the employee's neck.

The employee grabbed Pollard's arm to stop her from cutting them further, but still suffered a small laceration on the left side of the face.

Pollard was arrested without incident and charged with two counts of assault and reckless endangerment, according to the police department. Pollard is being held without bail.
