Woman Falls from King and Queen Seat in Rocks State Park: Officials

The victim was taken to a regional trauma center, Harford County Volunteer Fire and EMS Association reported.

One person was taken to a regional trauma center Wednesday after a fall from King and Queen Seat in Rocks State Park, officials said.

At 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, first responders were called to the park, where a woman had fallen, according to Jenn Price, spokeswoman for the Harford County Volunteer Fire and EMS Association.

The natural rock outcropping known as King and Queen Seat is situated 190 feet above Deer Creek, according to the Department of Natural Resources.

The woman had fallen approximately 20 feet, Price said.

By 5:05 p.m., the Jarrettsville Volunteer Fire Company and Harford County Technical Rescue Team had helped the woman out of the area where she had fallen, the Harford County Volunteer Fire and EMS Association reported.

Once they had gotten the victim back on the trail, rescuers took her by ambulance to a regional trauma center with injuries that were not believed to be life-threatening, Price said.
