ABERDEEN, MD — An Aberdeen woman faces charges after police say she pointed a gun at rental company employees trying to retrieve items from her.

On Dec. 16 around 11 a.m., Aberdeen police officers were called to the 400 block of Hillcrest Drive for a report of an armed subject. When officers arrived, they spoke with three employees from a local rental company who went to the home to retrieve items. They told police that a woman inside the home pointed a gun with a suppressor at one of the employees and told that person to leave, according to a police report.

The woman, later identified as 31-year-old Monica Lynn Taylor, was outside the home when police arrived. She was arrested and charged with first- and second-degree assault. A search and seizure warrant was obtained and the alleged weapon, a replica BB gun, was confiscated, according to police.
