ZIPS Dry Cleaner Coming To Bel Air

BEL AIR, MD — ZIPS will be opening in Bel Air. The dry cleaner is setting up shop the 300 block of South Main Street.

The business is known for the fact that it has a set price: $2.29 per garment.

There are more than 20 ZIPS in Maryland. The company also has franchises in California, the District of Columbia, Pennsylvania and Virginia.

ZIPS will open at 308 South Main Street in the near future. Hours are 7 a.m.–8 p.m. weekdays and 8 a.m.–7 p.m. on Saturday. The cleaners are closed on Sunday.

The company also launched a "zippy" marketing campaign this spring created by Baltimore-based ad agency TBC designed to show that even with its low-price offering, it also can provide quality services.

“We’ve found that today’s consumers have a difficult time believing that a trusted dry cleaning service is available at such a low price point that we offer," ZIPS Dry Cleaners CEO Reid Bechtle said in a statement in trade publication Cleaner and Launderer. “Our objective with this campaign is to overcome these perceptions with clever, memorable ads that assure current and prospective clients that their items are in good hands."
