The Grandview, an Erickson Senior Living community in Bethesda, Md., has a lot of great news to share!
Continued growth
Over 300 retirees have already moved into Potomac Heights, the community's first residence building, and more people continue to move in nearly every day.
"Residents continue to tell me that moving in was a seamless process," says Sales Director George Mishraky.
"We made the decision early on to work with a logistics manager from a senior move management company, who worked hand in hand with Hannah Davis, our planning and moving consultant, and Ben Clay, our moving coordinator."
To help residents get settled, The Grandview is holding informational seminars on topics such as how to use the My Erickson app, which offers information on daily activities and events. The app can also be used to check meal plan balances, restaurant menus, and dining reservations--among other helpful resources.
Out and about
The Grandview's dining options have also been receiving five-star reviews.
"I keep hearing how much residents love the food here," says Mishraky, noting that residents are especially wowed by View at 140, a fine dining restaurant with a rooftop wine bar. "The terrace has couches and televisions so that residents can watch a baseball game while enjoying the incredible view."
Dozens of clubs and classes are up and running, providing the vibrant, active lifestyle that residents were looking forward to embracing in retirement.
"The fitness center is definitely a big hit, especially the exercise classes," notes Mishraky.
New team members
As the community continues to grow and evolve, so does the amount of compassionate, dedicated staff members.
"We've added a fitness coordinator to help the fitness manager with exercise classes, and more high school students are being hired as servers in the restaurants," Mishraky says. "At Erickson Senior Living communities, we love giving high school students the opportunity to foster connections with older generations."
He continues, "With Walter Johnson High School just across the street, we have had an influx of servers--many of whom are already forming meaningful relationships with our residents."
In demand
A new sales counselor, Alyssa Himes, was hired to handle the growing volume of appointments with prospective residents eager to learn more about the new community.
"There are currently over 700 households on the Priority List," says Mishraky. "Demand for the vibrant lifestyle at The Grandview continues to grow."
He adds, "When Woodmont Terrace is completed this fall, the next building won't be done until fall of 2028, so I keep urging people interested in The Grandview to join the Priority List."
In addition to attending exclusive informational events and receiving updates on the community's progress, members can save their spot in line for a desired floor plan--a huge advantage.
"If you want to live at The Grandview in the next two years, don't wait!" Mishraky says.
