BETHESDA, MD — Two men linked to a series of Bethesda robberies were arrested after police traced them to a Motel 6 in Gaithersburg.

Montgomery County Police said Wednesday that 30-year-old Craig Pendergrass and 38-year-old Antonio Gordon had been tied to multiple thefts that were reported on July 14 in Bethesda.

Police said Pendergrass is from Silver Spring, with Gordon hailing from Frederick.

Authorities said the robberies were reported on Broad Brook Drive, Enfield Road, Page Avenue and Locust Hill Road during the early morning hours.

Items stolen from parked cars ranged from electronics to personal property and work-related equipment, according to police.

The pair were ultimately tracked down to a Motel 6 on the 4900 block of Quince Orchard Road after investigators identified them in surveillance footage. Pendergrass and Gordon were captured "checking vehicle door handles and entering unlocked vehicles."

While Pendergrass was arrested after he left the motel, police took Gordon into custody after executing the search warrant at the building.

Not only were "numerous" items from the Bethesda thefts recovered, but police also found two firearms that were reported stolen in a separate case.

Pendergrass and Gordon are facing multiple counts of theft, rogue and vagabond charges, among other violations. Both remain held without bond.

Records show Gordon is next scheduled to appear in court on Aug. 14, as Pendergrass returns Sept. 1.
