Today's riddle: What do evil hens lay? 🤔 (Answer below!)
• Bike riders did the math on County's cycling network (mymcmedia.org) — If you bike in Bethesda, new lanes and trails are coming, but many still don't connect, leaving riders to navigate dangerous gaps on streets like Woodmont Avenue and Old Georgetown Road. Cyclists and shop owners describe confusing, stop‑and‑start infrastructure, while county officials say funding and jurisdiction slow efforts to build a true, continuous network.
• Poolesville High ranked No. 2 in state by U.S. News (bethesdamagazine.com) — Bethesda families can see how local high schools stack up statewide, with Walt Whitman ranked fourth, Walter Johnson 14th, and Bethesda-Chevy Chase 17th in Maryland. The U.S. News list highlights shifting fortunes across Montgomery County schools and explains the test scores, AP/IB participation, and graduation rates behind each ranking.
• National Symphony Orchestra to play at 6 DMV venues next season instead of Kennedy Center (wjla.com) — North Bethesda concertgoers will see more of the National Symphony Orchestra this season, with 13 performances scheduled at the Music Center at Strathmore while the Kennedy Center closes for renovation. The orchestra is spreading 64 concerts across six D.C.-area venues, aiming to rebuild audiences by bringing performances closer to suburban communities.
