BETHESDA, MD — An award-winning ice cream shop with roots in Annapolis will be opening a new location in Montgomery County.
Always Ice Cream Company announced in a Monday social media post that a new ice cream shop will be coming to Bethesda by spring 2028.
"The secret is finally out!" the post reads. "We can't wait to meet our new neighbors."
The ice creamery will be located at 5335 Westbard Ave, Unit B1, and will mark the brand's second location in Montgomery County.
Known for its rotating flavors, Always Ice Cream Company has been recognized for its innovation and has earned multiple awards, such as "Best Ice Cream" and "Best Dessert" in 2025 and 2026 rankings.

News of the planned opening comes as the ice creamery is aiming to open its first Montgomery County location in the Pike and Rose shopping district this fall. The MoCo Show earlier reported the site would be opening in late November.
The inaugural shop will be located at 11802 Rockville Pike, next to the Chipotle and Visionworks.
With the second Bethesda opening, Always Ice Cream Company brings its total footprint to 11 shops, including a food truck. Most of the brand's locations are based across Anne Arundel County, with additional sites in Baltimore and Calvert County.
