MONTGOMERY COUNTY, MD — Officials at the Montgomery County Animal Services and Adoption Center are hosting a "Find Your Boo" adoption event this weekend as the shelter hits capacity.
A shelter release says the event will be held Saturday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., with adoptions on a first-come, first-served basis. Watch MCASAC's video.
The shelter is located at 7315 Muncaster Mill Road in Derwood.
"Adopters should arrive prepared to take their new pet home, with a leash and collar for dogs or a pet carrier for cats and other animals," the release says.
The event is waiving adoption fees, but a $12 licensing fee may apply.
Potential adopters are urged to view available animals online before this weekend's event.
