• Academy for Excellence Celebrates 2026 Graduates (mdcounties.org) — Two Bladensburg officials, Kalisha Nicola Dixon and Marilyn Blount, have completed the Academy for Excellence in Local Governance, a statewide training program for municipal and county leaders. They were honored at a University of Maryland ceremony recognizing 124 graduates who finished coursework on ethics, budgeting, public meetings, and other core skills for running local government effectively.
