487 New COVID Cases, 100K Total In Prince George's County: Nov. 16

PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, MD — As of Tuesday, Prince George's County has a total of 100,822 positive COVID-19 cases; 487 new cases; and 1,683 deaths, according to the Prince George's County Health Department. The state has 573,044 confirmed cases and 10,843 deaths total, reports the Maryland Department of Health.

The following zip codes have the highest confirmed case counts in Prince George's County as of Nov. 16:

• 20783 with 5,903 cases
• 20744 with 5,521 cases
• 20785 with 4,777 cases
• 20774 with 4,735 cases
• 20772 with 4,720 cases

The county health department has its own website created to monitor the situation, broken down by new cases per day and other data.

The CDC advises taking several measures to help stop the spread of the virus, including the following:

• Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds especially after you have been in a public place, or after blowing your nose, coughing or sneezing.
• Cover coughs and sneezes.
• Avoid crowds and poorly ventilated spaces.
• Stay 6 feet away from others.
• Clean and disinfect.
• Monitor your health daily.
