19-Year-Old Fatally Shot Outside Capitol Heights Home

CAPITOL HEIGHTS, MD — Detectives are investigating a fatal shooting that happened Wednesday afternoon in Capitol Heights.

Around 3:20 p.m., Prince George's police officers were called to the 500 block of Abel Avenue for a report of a shooting. They found 19-year-old Ky-Mari Bowman of Waldorf outside with gunshot wounds. He was taken to the hospital where he died a short time later, police reported.

Investigators are working to determine a motive and identify a suspect(s). Detectives do not believe this was a random crime.
