2 Bowie Schools Placed On Lockdown After Suspect Flees Police Serving A Warrant
Two Bowie schools were placed on lockdown after the suspect being served a warrant ran off from police officers.
PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, MD — Samuel Ogle Middle School and Yorktown Elementary School were briefly placed on lockdown Tuesday morning. There was no active threat to students.
Officers serving a warrant in the 13000 block of Overbrook Drive around 8:15 a.m. ended up chasing a suspect who ran from them.
The lockdown was lifted less than 10 minutes later.
