2 Children Die in Cheverly Home; Homicide Detectives on Case
Authorities had not filed charges Sunday, but sources told WJLA that the childrens' mother is in custody.

Two young children were killed in a Cheverly house early Sunday, according to police, who responded to a call that the victims were in respiratory distress.
Police are not confirming reports by WJLA TV that the mother of the two youngsters has been taken into custody.

Cheverly Police Chief Buddy Robshaw says both children died at Children’s Hospital in Washington, D.C.
One child was 3 years old, and the other was 1 year old.

Prince George’s County homicide detectives are interviewing people who were inside the home.
Robshaw told WJLA TV the children’s father was not home at the time and he indicated there was no ongoing threat to the community.
