2 Injured, 100+ Displaced In College Park Apartment Fire: Prince George's Official

Two residents were injured and more than 100 displaced when a fire broke out at their College Park apartment, damaging 37 units.

PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, MD — Two people were injured and 100 residents displaced after a large fire swept through their College Park apartment complex Monday morning.

Several fire departments were needed to battle the three-story apartment complex fire located at 10100 block of Baltimore Avenue near IKEA.

Firefighters arrived at the building around 8:10 a.m. and found flames shooting through the roof with thick black smoke rolling out. Three alarms were sounded for this blaze.

Thirty-seven apartment units were affected and most of the belongings in these units were destroyed. Reports of pets not making it out alive have been received. The incident remains under investigation.
