2 Prince George's Residents Killed In Virginia Car Crash: Police

Two Prince George's residents died in a Virginia car crash, police said. Officers believe the car made an illegal pass before the wreck.

CARLONE COUNTY, VA — Police said two Hyattsville residents died in a Virginia car crash last Tuesday. Virginia State Police identified the driver as Jason Williams and the passenger as Wendy Terrell. Both died on the scene, an incident report noted.

Williams was 50. Terrell was 55.

The accident happened around 1:15 p.m. on the Caroline County section of Route 301 (Richmond Turnpike) about 0.3 miles south of Route 647 (Doggetts Fork Road), the report indicated. Police believe the car was heading north in a black 2004 Ford Explorer and tried to pass in a no-passing zone.

Officers added that Williams tried to avoid the oncoming traffic and ran off the left side of the road. The car struck a tree and overturned, the write-up continued.
