2 Suspects Arrested In Fatal December 2023 Shooting In Capitol Heights: Police

Two suspects have been arrested in connection to a fatal shooting that happened in December 2023, according to Prince George's Police.

PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, MD — Two suspects have been charged in connection to a fatal shooting that happened in late December 2023.

On Dec. 31, 2023, at approximately 10:30 p.m., officers responded to a report of a shooting in the 1400 block of Dunbar Oaks Drive in Capitol Heights. Officers found 36-year-old Nelson Bonilla-Reyes of Capitol Heights outside with a gunshot wound. He was taken to a hospital where he was later pronounced dead, according to police.

A preliminary investigation indicates the suspects, 18-year-old Bilal Ansariddeen of Bowie and 19-year-old Kiemontey Jenifer of Washington, D.C., shot Bonilla-Reyes during a robbery. The victim and suspects didn't know to each other, police said.

Ansariddeen and Jenifer have been charged with first- and second-degree murder and related charges. Detectives continue to investigate the incident and are working to identify and arrest additional suspects.
