2 Teens, 2 18-Year-Olds Charged In Fatal Drive-By Shooting: Police

Two teenage boys and 2 18-year-old men face several charges in a drive-by shooting that killed a 14-year-old boy, police say.

GREENBELT, MD — Two 18-year-olds and two teens have been indicted on charges that include first-degree murder, second-degree murder and first-degree assault.

On Oct. 5, 2025, 14-year-old Carltin Bayong was fatally shot in a drive-by shooting in Greenbelt. After a months-long investigation, officers arrested Jamarri Ruffin, 18, and Abdourahmane Sylla, 18, along with two other teenage boys.

Authorities announced their charges Friday. They have been charged with first-degree murder, second-degree murder, first-degree assault and the use of a firearm in the commission of a violent felony.

All four defendants are being held without bond according to the county state's attorney.
