23-Year-Old Man Charged In Fatal Shooting Of Capitol Heights Man: PGPD
A 23-year-old man has been charged in connection to the fatal shooting of an acquaintance from Capitol Heights, police say.
CAPITOL HEIGHTS, MD — A 23-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection to the fatally shooting of 41-year-old Airmus Dillard of Capitol Heights.
Prince George's Police were called to the 300 block Cedarleaf Avenue of Capitol Heights March 5 around 6:25 p.m. for a report of a shooting. They found Dillard with gunshot wounds. He was taken to the hospital where he died several hours later, according to the police department.
The preliminary investigation indicates that Dillard and 23-year-old Zarkee Bembo-Wilson of Capitol Heights were involved in an ongoing disagreement. Bembo-Wilson was identified as the suspect and taken into custody without bond. He's been charged with first- and second-degree murder as well as related charges.
