24-Year-Old Killed In 3-Vehicle Crash In Fort Washington

A 24-year-old Waldorf man was killed in a 3-vehicle crash in Fort Washington. His passenger was injured in the crash, police said.

FORT WASHINGTON, MD — A 24-year-old Waldorf man was killed Wednesday night in a three-vehicle pile-up, police report.

Prince George's County police officers were called to the area of Indian Head Highway and Palmer Road around 9:40 p.m. Wednesday. They found an SUV and two cars had been involved in a crash. The driver of one of the vehicles, Blake Greenwell, 24, died at the scene. His passenger was taken to the hospital with injuries not considered life-threatening, according to police. The drivers of the other two vehicles weren't injured.

The preliminary investigation indicates that the two cars were heading northbound on Indian Head Highway approaching Palmer Road while the SUV was traveling southbound. For reasons now being investigated, the three vehicles collided at the intersection, police said.
