$25K Reward Offered in Bowie Man's Shooting Death

Police say the Bowie resident was shot to death Thursday in Oxon Hill.

A reward of up to $25,000 is being offered for leads after a Bowie man was shot to death Thursday, police say.

Edson Keister, 39, of Nashua Lane in Bowie was shot about 3 a.m. Thursday in the 1400 block of Southern Avenue in Oxon Hill, according to Prince George’s County Police.

Officers found Keister suffering from gunshot wounds. He died a short time later at a hospital.

Preliminarily, detectives do not believe this was a random act. A reward of up to $25,000 is being offered for information that leads to an arrest and indictment in this case.

Detectives are working to identify the suspect in the shooting.
