$25K Reward Offered In Fatal Shooting Of Sanitation Worker: Prince George's Police
A $25K reward has been offered for information in the case of a sanitation worker who was fatally shot while on the job, police say.
HYATTSVILLE, MD — Detectives are investigating a fatal shooting that happened Thursday afternoon in Hyattsville. A reward of up to $25,000 has been offered for information leading to an arrest and indictment in the case.
On April 4 around 3:40 p.m., Prince George's police officers were called to the 6800 block of Greenvale Parkway for a report of a shooting. Officers found 30-year-old Idongesit Udosen of Lanham in the road with gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead on the scene, according to a police report.
A preliminary investigation indicates that Udosen was working for a trash removal company at the time of the shooting. Detectives are investigating a motive and working to identify a suspect(s). Preliminarily, detectives do not believe this was a random crime, according to a police report.
