$25K Reward Offered For Information In Capitol Heights Fatal Shooting: Police

A reward of up to $25K has been offered for information in a fatal shooting that happened Thursday night in Capitol Heights, police say.

CAPITOL HEIGHTS, MD — Detectives are investigating a fatal shooting that happened Tuesday around 6:25 p.m. in the 300 block of Cedarleaf Avenue.

A reward of up to $25,000 has been offered for information leading to an arrest and indictment in the case.

When officers arrived on the scene, they found 41-year-old Airmus Dillard of Capitol Heights with gunshot wounds. He was taken to the hospital where he died several hours later, according to the police department.

Detectives are working to determine a motive and identify a suspect(s). Detectives do not believe this was a random crime. Anyone with information about this case who would like to speak to a detective can call 301-516-2512.
