3 Fatal Shootings, 2 Injuries Reported NY Eve, NY Day: Prince George's Police
Three people were fatally shot and two injured in three incidents that happened New Year's Eve and New Year's Day, police say.
PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, MD — Three fatal shootings happened New Year's Eve and New Year's Day with no known suspects identified yet in the three cases. A man and a woman also were shot in one incident with the man listed in critical condition.
On Dec. 31 around 10:30 p.m., Prince George's police officers were called to the 1400 block of Dunbar Oaks Drive in Capitol Heights for a shooting. They found 36-year-old Nelson Bonilla-Reyes of Capitol Heights outside with a gunshot wound. He was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead. A reward of up to $25,000 has been offered for information leading to an arrest and indictment in this case, according to the police department.
Around 3:50 a.m. Jan. 1, officers were called to the 7500 block of Blanford Drive in Fort Washington for a report of a shooting. They were told that 21-year-old Jarreau Sanders of Bowie had been shot there and taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead. Another man and a woman also were shot. The man remains hospitalized with critical injuries. The woman suffered non-life-threatening injuries. A reward of up to $25,000 has been offered for information leading to an arrest and indictment in this case, according to the police department.

On Jan. 1 around 4:30 a.m., police officers were called to the 2900 block of Brinkley Road in Temple Hills for a report of a shooting. Officers found 30-year-old Breon Fowler of Washington, D.C., with gunshot sounds. He was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.
