$500K Powerball Double Play Prize Allows Contractor To Help Family

A federal government contractor recently claimed a $500K prize he won with the double play option in the Powerball game.

UPPER MARLBORO, MD — A Prince George's lotto player recently won $500,000 in the Powerball with a double play prize.

The man was hoping he'd land the jackpot when he purchased five sets of numbers, adding the double play and power play options. The double play drawing netted him $500,000.

The avid lotto player told officials he was helping his dad and running errands. Before heading home, he stopped at the Shoppers grocery store in Largo and bought five combinations of Powerball with the power play and double play option.
