An Upper Marlboro man working at a 7-Eleven store was gunned down Saturday in a robbery attempt. A suspect is shown on video released.

CLINTON, MD — Authorities on Monday released surveillance video of the man sought Saturday's fatal shooting of a 7-Eleven store employee in Clinton, and a reward for tips leading to an arrest has reached $50,000.

The shooting victim is Taiwo Oduwole, 31, of Canadian Geese Court in Upper Marlboro, say Prince George's County Police. A reward of up to $50,000 is being offered by the FBI for information leading to an arrest and indictment in this case.

Just before 5 a.m. Saturday, patrol officers were called to the 9700 block of Brandywine Road for a shooting. Officers found Oduwole inside of the business suffering from gunshot wounds. He died a short time later at an area hospital.

Investigators say the suspect intended to rob the convenience store. During that robbery attempt, Oduwole was shot.

Detectives believe the same suspect robbed a hotel in the 7900 block of Malcolm Road in Clinton soon after the shooting. Surveillance video from that robbery shows the suspect in both crimes, police said Monday.
