54-Year-Old Man Charged In Roommate's Fatal Shooting: Prince George's Police

A 54-year-old District Heights man has been charged in connection to the shooting death of his roommate, police say.

PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, MD — A 54-year-old District Heights man has been charged in connection to the fatal shooting of his roommate, 41-year-old Harold James Roberts, Jr.

On Nov. 9 at approximately 10:10 p.m., officers were called to an apartment in the 6700 block of Alpine Street for a report of a shooting. Roberts was found with a gunshot wound. He died of his injuries on Nov. 10. Officers took the suspect into custody at the scene, according to the Prince George's County Police Department.

The preliminary investigation revealed the suspect shot the victim during an argument. Houge has been charged with first- and second-degree murder and related charges.
