8 Hurt, 2 Critically Injured in Crain Highway Crash

Police have not yet released the names of the eight people hurt in a Thursday night crash.

BRANDYWINE, MD — One person was in extremely critical condition Thursday night after a crash on Crain Highway injured eight people, authorities said.

No names of victims have been released as of Friday morning.

Prince George’s County Fire spokesman Mark Brady said six people suffered nonlife-threatening injuries. One person was flown to a hospital in critical condition, while another was listed in “extremely critical” condition at an area hospital with life-threatening injuries.

All southbound lanes were blocked at Chadds Ford Drive as authorities investigated. The roadway reopened around 1:30 a.m., WTOP reports.
